Power system protection devices both high voltage switchgear, transmission and distributionas key equipment, high voltage switchgear closing and bear an important role in the power line isdisconnected. In the long-running process, severe burn can occur when the contacts, and evenlead to large-scale blackouts. To ensure the normal operation of the high voltage switchgear, highvoltage switchgear contact temperature necessary for online monitoring system to detect hiddenfaults, thereby improving the reliability of the power system work.High Voltage Switchgear and abroad on the basis of a comprehensive study of the status ofthe line temperature monitoring system,the coordinator and PC monitoring software of three parts.This paper analyzes the ZigBee wireless communication technology, to build a ZigBee-basedHigh Voltage Switchgear contact temperature monitoring system.The temperature monitoring system consists of nodes, the coordinator and PC monitoringsoftware of three parts. In the hardware design, the use of on-chip system chip CC2530and high-precision digital temperature sensor DS18B20temperature measurement node design, whileCC2530chip as the master CPU, expanded peripheral serial memory interfaces finishedcoordinator design.In software design, under the IAR integrated development environment, using C languagesystem temperature node and coordinator of the driver, send and receive functions. In VisualC++6.0integrated development environment, using C++language of the host computermonitoring software, a PC serial communication and coordination between the completion of thetemperature data reception, display, alarm, storage and other functions.Under laboratory conditions, the two nodes were monitored temperature experiments, theresults show that the system can effectively achieve multi-channel temperature data on-linemonitoring.
