With the rapid development of economy and society, people’s lives have beenimproved dramatically and physical gratification has accelerated the advancement ofspiritual civilization, spiritual and cultural life being one of the themes of life and theenjoyment of life interest being one of contemporary living values. Traveling, redefined asa distinctive and charming lifestyle, has become a worldwide activity in contemporary life.It has been an indispensable theme of spiritual life for the public in China with thepopulation of new traveling styles and the development of modern holiday system. Whiletraveling is progressing with abundant cultural connotations, tourist souvenirs, as a symbolof culture, manifest themselves poorly in cultural taste. The resolution of his contradictionconstitutes the key part of new tourism cultural industry.The aim of the subject is to find out the humanity in tourism culture and restate thevalue of tourist souvenirs by researching tourism culture as well as to look back to theessential meaning and property by analogy approach. Then, the article will providecomplete designing methods of souvenirs that complies with current development oftourism culture by analyzing linkage, symbolic representation mode, and the relationbetween design and culture after putting humanity of tourism culture into the design oftourist souvenirs.In the research, by literature review and etymology, the article will firstly emphasizethat personal experience outweighs tourism destination culture; secondly according to theQinhuangdao tourism souvenir design, the article will put tourist souvenir in Tourismunder the view of culture with "Shanhai Liancheng" being its cultural theme as well ascomplete a “Shanhai Liancheng” tray design by strengthening culture design, refining thedesign images and carrying on a cultural product design using poetic description methodand image representation method with the hope that the designing community will valueand broaden cultural design thinking through the research.
