With the launch of NuoZhaDu DC and XiLuoDu DC at2014, Guangdong power griddisplayed eight of DC and eight of AC pattern,alternating and direct interaction is even moreprominent, Multi HVDC commutation failure or atresia,cause system instabilityrisks,guangdong power grid safe operation situation is grim. Power-grid becomes large andcomplex. Connections between different regional power-grid also become much tighter.New techniques, like high and ultra-high voltage power system, long range (distance) powertransmission, are widely used. The reliabilities of power system are highly improved. But, onthe other hand, the wide and tight interconnection, also take more risk of collapsing theentire system when there is a relay or auto mechanism device failure. For this reason, theresearch of effective black-start system is taking crucially important role to speeduprecovering procedure of the power system.Having thoroughly analyzed the operation feature of Foshan power grid and local powerplant, as well as adapt with the study and research of province’s ‘black start’ program, theauthor has introduced detail program for the local system. After theoretical analysis andsimulation study, the weakness has been found out. The data will be the basis of networkplanning and the staff training.According to the system, when complete break-down occurs, HE YI Power Plant will bethe centre of power supply. The power system recovery will then radiantly spread up to theimportant plant and station. It will be carried out step by step, that is start from small regionfirst. When the condition is going to be steady, it goes forward to more and more region up tothe whole area. The system is developed by the help of simulation program BPA andMATLAB/PSB. On the bases of accurate study to Foshan power grid model and itsparameters, the black-start system has theoretically calculated and simulated the tide-currentdistribution and over voltage during the system recovery. Scientific and objective evaluationto the system has been strictly carried through.
