Drop and Pull Transport has a long story of application and development abroad. Inrecent years, as the rapid increase in quantity of road freight and the more and morecomplicate of enterprise operation, traditional mode of transport can hardly meet therequirement of organizational diversity and efficiency. In this context, Drop and PullTransport has been used in circulation. Our country has started the pilot work in2012.However, due to the particularity of organization in this mode, mature researchwhich has been done to traditional mode of transport can’t fully be applied in this area.How to carry out Drop and Pull Transport in an efficient and scientific way is become arealistic and valuable research topic.This paper selected the problem of ratio of tractor and trailer in application, and therelationship of operation efficiency and business cost as the core research context. Afterelaborating the organizational form and theories, proving the existence of economy inDrop and Pull Transport, analyzing the factors affecting the business performance inoperation, evaluation system and vehicle configuration model have been built in the endto solve the multi-objective optimization problem in vehicle ratio.Through this study, it is possible to provide scientific guidance to promote thedevelopment of this mode in transportation. What’s more, academic research has beenconsidered which enforce this topic some practical and academic value.
