The Study Of Loess Hilly-gully Region In Central Of Gansu Province Of New Vernacular Dwellings Ecological Construction Technology

With the integration of urban and rural construction in China, the problem oflacking regional cultural feature in rural residential housing is serious and caused thedestruction of the ecological environment and ignorance of the necessity of sustainabledevelopment in the fragile ecological environment area. From the natural regenerationdeveloping Course of local-style dwelling houses in central of Gansu province loesshilly-gully region, we could see that even the residential architecture transited fromrammed earth and wood to brick structure, the comfortability of the houses didn’t getmuch improved. The loss of traditional ecological experience and modern ecologicalenergy-saving technology could have bad effects on the local natural environment ofperennial drought, serious soil erosion and the cold winter climate.After the research of the background knowledge of nature, society, culture, andeconomy in Central of Gansu province loess hilly-gully region and an in-depthinvestigation of a common natural villages in this area, in the theme of thecomfortability, ecology and adaptability of local-style dwelling houses building, withthe typical natural environment characteristics in Central of Gansu province loesshilly-gully region, focusing on the ecological technology of the local-style dwellinghouses, the author suggested three aspects of renewing technology. First, to update theconstructed specification and bracing system of the roof and improve the condole topto ensure the safety and heat preservation of the roof. Second, to update the practicesand materials of the wall to improve the heat preservation. Third, to reduce theconsumption of non-renewable resources such as coal as well as reducing the pollution to the environment by adding the passive sun room to the local houses. Mainly theauthor focuses on the ecology appropriate technology of updating the local-styledwelling houses, and the embodiment of the local regional culture characteristics at thesame time.
