Roller compacted concrete(RCC) gravity dam has many advantages such as lowcost and mature technology which made it widely used in water conservancy project.The analysis of the dam body temperature field and stress field is necessary becauseof the influence of the temperature stress to the construction process of dam body. Inorder to reveal temperature field and creep stress field of ShangCun RCC gravity dam,this paper use ANSYS Parameter Design Language(APDL) to analysis it. Accordingto the exploration design data and the simulation results, it also can verify the validityof the temperature control measures,and guide the engineering practice of measures.The main research content is as follows:(1)This paper describes the thought of temperature control of RCC gravity damand the principle of the temperature field and creep stress field. It’s also possible thatthat how to realize the simulation analysis of the calculation principle of creep, thechange of boundary conditions, the constitutive relation in the simulation analysis.According to actual schedule arrangement, material properties, boundary conditionsand load,this paper make the analysis of thermal stress coupled field through APDL.It shows the feasibility of the simulation analysis.(2)Research for the cooling water pipe in the dam show that cooling water pipehad better be used when the average temperature of casting layer is more than20℃which the parameters is15m3/d,0.75m*1.5m and5℃. Casting layer of the damshould be stopped when temperature is above25℃.(3)The results of simulation analysis shows that the maximum temperature indam reached41℃which above the temperature control standard without controlmeasures. while it’s in the temperature control standard when we take correspondingtemperature control measures. The maximum tensile stress is also in control. It’s alsoput forward some temperature control measures for engineering.
