Pilot Study On Evaluating The Design Quality Of Contemporary City Landscape

In contemporary urban construction, the Subject classification for Landscape Designhas been debated intensely. It is difficult to separate the habitat from the environment,because it is a topic over Ecologic, Urban planning, Landscaping and Arts range. From abroad perspective, every project should abide by some established rules and legislation tokeep a comprehensively sustainable development. Due to different environment need andcharacter restriction, it is extremely important to have some different view points oflaunching work and making a decision which has respectively specific aspects focus. Thepaper has utilized the contemporary city landscape arts value attributes, presents the mainaspect of design quality, made an attempt to construct the evaluation indexes and methodsthat can offer an objective and scientific perspectives to the decision makers and managersfurther maximize the realization of expectations.The paper contributes in two aspects of contemporary city landscape includingdesign quality theory system and evaluating example practice. In light of results oftheoretical studies in related fields domestic and overseas, as well as articles about ArtisticDesign, Design Aesthetics, Design Criticism and Design Methodology from the micro andthe overall, this article sums up the contemporary city landscape design quality indicators,that is the SEVEN class Quality-Level, and attempts to combined experiences inevaluating example demonstrate the necessity and importance of the design qualityevaluation indicators and offer a reference date by public researches and space use survey,after that, to finish the design quality evaluating.
