Investigation And Analysis On The Present Situation Of Rural Residential Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Area

This paper is on the rural housing in Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia areas, where thecountryside steps into the critical transition period with rapid development of theeconomy. The author focuses on the real situation of rural housing construction andconducts quantitative research on the status of the housing construction and the ruralvillages, also explores the status of the countrymen’s own design and the self-builtmodels in the traditional sense, to effect on the study of rural housing construction andthe design.From the perspective of the disciplines of rural fieldwork, the author surveys thebasic situation of rural housing in Shaanxi-Gansu area thoroughly, and quantifies thebasic status of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia rural residential construction by the method ofdata analysis, forming an overall understanding of the rural residential in this area. Onthis basis, with the use of professional knowledge and the knowledge of otherdisciplines of social, economic, etc., the paper analyzes key issues and reasons existingin rural development, giving update strategies for self-built constructions.First, the paper interprets the environmental background Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxiarural village areas from the perspective of different geomorphic units and differentclimatic conditions, analyzes the distribution, structure, characteristics and theinfluencing factors of forming the basic shape of rural villages, summarizes the basicliving environment laws: agricultural production under a variety of landforms andlandscapes in different climatic conditions are the major factors in forming themorphological diversity of the rural villages. Secondly, by analyzing statistics data of the current situation of rural villages andrural housing construction，quantifying basic elements of rural housing construction,and interpreting rural residential real estate, the paper found that the disusing andimpoverishment are a serious problem, while rural residential construction quality andsafety, function and form, the material used and the construction process need to beimproved.Again, the paper also found that the mainly factors to build a farm house areresidence and production demands, after analyzing the rural policy, economy,technique, production and living, the living demands and living values. With theeconomic and technological change, changes in family structures and demographicmovement of large amounts, new demands lay on rural housing construction.Finally, considering the deficiencies in the current situation of rural residential,construction of local experience and new requirements for rural housing construction,the author determines the rural building fundamental objectives and basic principles ofsustainable development, and proposes the farm house-building ideas and strategiesfrom the aspects of the function of social guidance, climate adaptation, functionadaptation and technology suitable for basic dimensions.
