Our naturalenvironment in a worse day by day, it leading to more and more animals and plants inthe earth face with extinction. Humans began to reflect and take practical action in theface of these endangered species, In order to make the life on earth could survive,people using method of artificial natural environment to protect the animals, protectthe ecological environment. As our national treasure and the seriously world’sendangered species, except for protecting the Panda, China invested a great deal ofresearch for this species, constructed institutions for specialized in research of thegiant panda breeding, used the artificial method to expand the number of the species,and achieved good results. The giant pandas research of Chinese has a continuousdevelopment in the recent20years, while the giant pandas has received moreattention, architects created many favorable survival environment for giant pandaform the angle of pandas. Especially join the science education and the research work,the giant panda house have undergone tremendous changes from form to function. Itis that giant panda house which covers various functions realized that help the publicunderstand the giant panda deeply and the significance of the giant panda protection.But there are many problems about function organization and streamline design stillexist in the giant panda house, how to solve these problems, how to satisfy thephysical and psychological requirements of the users, is worth for us to study and explore.Based on the actual participation in the Shannxi Qinling giant panda breedingbase architecture design as the research object in this paper, on the basis of the presentsituation and development of domestic and foreign giant panda house buildings,design methods, Chengdu giant panda breeding research base’s and Du jiangyanbreeding-wild research center’s investigation, find existing problems in the giantpanda house buildings, combined with the innovative design approach used in thisdesign, to solve the above problems from the organization of function, spaceconstruction, building materials, and other equipment selection etc. So as to sum upinnovative design for the giant panda house，the social benefits of innovative designand prospect to promote the study of animal house architectural design.
