| The harmonious coexistence of people, animals and nature is a design concept that is generally followed by zoos.Modern zoo emphasizes the ecological environment of animal living environment. From the perspective of animals, ecological display design is carried out by studying the ecological habits and habitats of animals:simulating the original habitat of animals, showing the original appearance of animals in nature, and conveying the natural information of animals to people. It is true to start from the animal itself, not from the perspective of the person to build the animal house. The research object of this thesis is the living environment of giant pandas in our zoo.Data analysis and field research were conducted on 63 zoos in China with giant pandas. The survey content is the living environment, behavioral performance, distribution characteristics of the pavilion and related design specifications of the pavilion provided by the zoo for the giant panda. The analysis of the survey results shows the shortcomings in the design of the giant panda exhibition area.In order to improve the living environment of animals and show the natural behavior of animals, the habitat creation will be introduced into the design of the zoo giant panda exhibition area. The design method of habitat creation is proposed:extraction, reconstruction and reproduction.By studying the habitat composition of giant pandas in natural habitats, the basic elements that affect the survival of giant pandas are extracted.Combined with the site characteristics of the zoo,the reconstruction design is carried out to form a set of design strategies in accordance with the habitat construction of the giant panda exhibition area of the zoo.The strategy was applied to the design of giant panda exhibition area in Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo in order to make its living environment closer to its natural habitat and thus improve the comfort of giant panda living space in the zoo. |
