With the expanding of the modern city, urban mass transit system has made rapid development and goes into diversification. With its low construction cycle, low manufacturing costs, little land occuption, high space utilization rate, high riding safety and quality, low noise, low environmental pollution, good climbing and curve negotiating performance and flexibility, as a supplementary form of the urban mass transit system, suspended monorail transport system has been widely choosed and applicated. This paper make analysis on suspended monorail vehicles.In the first part of this paper the the characteristics of suspended monorail transport system and the field of its application is introduced and its application in German and Japan is shown. Its development in China is also given at last. In the second part, analysis on the train formation and bogie structure of the suspended monorail vehicle is made. The structure of the bogie frame, running wheel, guiding wheel and braking units is designed and the 3D model of the bogie is build in CATIA. And the analysis on the strength of the key parts of braking units is also made on the FE moduel of CATIA. In the third part, the mechanical properties of the rubber tires is introduced and on the basis on the analysis of the fore part, the degree of freedom of the vehicle system is analyzed. The dynamic model of the suepended monorail vehicle and dynamic equation of the bogie and car-body is given. In the last part, the simpack dynamic model of the vehicle is builded. The suspended parameter optimazition is made on the calculation results of the riding index and the curve negotiation performance index obtained from the simulation of the simpack dynamic model in the straight line and curve. On results of the suspended parameter optimization, the dynamic performation of the vehicle under different speed in straight line and curve line with different radius is predicted in simpack. And the results proves the good dynamic performance of the suspended monorail vehicle.On the basis of the research above, the following conlucsions is shown below:(1) The structure of the bogie of suspended monorail vehicle is special with the use of rubber tires in its running wheel and guiding wheel, the use of the special trapezoid hanging device to connect the bogie and the car-body and the use of defferential mechanism in its driving device. By taking advantage of damping effect of the rubber running wheel, a praimary suspension is not required without bad impact on its riding performance, and achieving a good curving negotiating performance in small radius curve.(2) In the case of passing the curving, if the prload of the guiding wheel is too low, the guiding wheel will separate from guiding rail and lead to a poor curve negotiating performance.Only by insuring the contact of the guiding wheel and the guiding rail can the change in the preload have no impact on the curve negotiating performance.(3) On the basis of the suspended parameter optimization, the results of the simulation of the dynamic model of the vehicle in the straight line and curve line show that the riding index of the vehicle is all beyond 2.5 which indicates the good riding performance of the vehicle and the curve negotiation performance index is all beyong the the safety threshold which indicates the good curve negotiating performance.
