Suspended monorail vehicle is a new type of urban rail transportation, has been operating in Germany and Japan. This kind of vehicle has a simple construction, low cost, short construction period, attractive appearance, low noise, and recently some domestic motorcycle manufacturers have started research and development work.This article describes the technical features of suspended monorail vehicle, analysis the structure and function of rubber tires. Analysis a cornering tire’s camber, slip angle and returnability characteristics with the mechanical properties of the tire. And establish a mechanical flexible wheel set structure model to simulate the critical speed, verify the correctness of the wheel set mechanical model by calculating modal analysis and transient response analysis. Establishing lateral dynamics model with 14 degrees of freedom and vertical dynamics model with 14 degrees of freedom based on tire mechanics model.Critical speed were analyzed with transient response analysis method, by comparing the structure with guide wheel and no guide wheel, evaluate the influence of the displacement, velocity and acceleration to vehicle running stability. By comparing the vehicle displacement response with different camber, obtained the best camber parameters values under the current situation. Using modal analysis method to simulate the critical speed, according to the calculation results, researching the relationship between different parameters and operation of the vehicle suspension stability.The vehicle acceleration power spectral response function were deduced by using transported United States six power spectrum which has been excited by random rail irregularities. By the power spectral density curve, research the influence of rubber tire radial stiffness, vehicle speed, vehicle suspension stiffness to the vertical acceleration vibration power spectral density of vehicles.
