Research On Cost Management And Control Method Of Engineering Procurement Construction Project

As the EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction)becoming one of the widely used engineering general contracting mode in the field of construction at home and abroad, the project management based on EPC highlight its important role. EPC project refers to outsourcing the project implementation in the process of design, procurement, construction and delivery to a construction enterprise for integrating management. The advantage is that the part of design will play a leading role, and the different stages of the design, procurement and construction will have a reasonable cross and full coordination through the whole optimization project implementation plan. That will meet the owner’s expect,such as saving investment, shortening the construction period,improving the quality of the construction and so on.On account of the application time of the EPC project management in our country is not so long, there exists a series of problems including lack of experience,the shortage of a unified management idea, varied management methods and lagging corresponding legal policy.Therefore, the main purpose of this article is to research and explore the control method, from the EPC project owners management perspective, based on the specific EPC project and analysis of EPC project cost managementFirst of all, this paper summarized the related theories,such as cost management and control theory and the EPC project management development theory. And then, it compares the characteristics between the EPC project and conventional project management.Next,it analyzes how to manage EPC project through considering the affordable housing project EPC problems and risk management of the process.Finally, it systematically summarize specific approach of EPC projet cost control management combined the construction cost management with control requirements.At the same time, it also offer several suggestions hoping to benefit the development of project EPC.
