With the underground diaphragm wall construction widely used in the construction of foundation,the importance of hydrofoil device in the construction machinery is also rising.The traditional hydromill device uses crawler chassis, and its overall height greater than 20 m. So it’s difficult to work in the narrow space under the bridge or tunnel. Domestic research in low-head hydromill device still blank. Related equipment all imported from overseas, and the price is very expensive and repairing inconvenient. The paper mainly solve the the shortcomings of the traditional hydromill device,and develop a new hydromill device which can be used in the narrow space.Comparing Japan TOA-TONE and Germany Bauer’s hydromill device and choose Bauer’s CBC25 / MBC30 as a reference equipment. Anglicizing its working principle and structure which consists of the milling frame, mud pumps, milling wheel, gear boxes,electrical control box, correcting plate, correcting cylinder. Established its three-dimensional model with SolidWorks. Anglicizing the rock breaking process of milling device of milling tool, makes the theoretical analysis and rock breaking mechanism of the three kinds of main milling tools. The paper designed the hydraulic system of the hydromill device. In the light load condition, the load sensitive loop and the quantitative pump circuit are simulated by AMESim software, and the feasibility of the load sensitive loop is verified under heavy load.Under the condition of deviation rectification, the stress analysis of the correction plate is calculated, and the finite element analysis is carried out for the key parts such as correcting plate and milling frame.This paper combined with the actual situation of the hydromill device, after the comparative analysis of all aspects, designed to meet the new wheel groove milling machine future development needs; Through the simulation of the hydraulic circuit, the hydraulic system of the milling device adopts load sensitive loop and determines the corresponding element parameters.; The structure of the correction plate, the milling gear box, the milling wheel and the strength check are designed, which provide the theoretical basis for the research of the foundation engineering equipment.
