In the calorimeter industry,thanks to the project of the one person has one meter,the automatic meter reading communication system came into being.It is a real-time monitor system,which the operators through remote monitoring,thermal heat collection, thermal analysis, data mining and other methods,avoids many disadvantages of manual meter reading to solve the difficult problems such as thermal carrier charges etc.In order to get the real-time data,most of collection terminals with GPRS function are used in the remote meter reading system. Because of the limited load capacity of the data collection terminal, resulting in each building must configure one or more collection terminal, allow for the high cost of the GPRS device, the cost of this scheme in the device does not have the advantage. In addition, in order toreduce the cost of device, dispersed areas allow to configure one collection terminal with GPRS function between multiple buildings, which makes the program on the construction cost of wiring does not have the advantage. With the development of wireless communication technology, micro-power wireless becomes more mature, it is cheap, so it can solve the problems which mention above.This paper is based on the problems have been analyzed, and the more low-cost micro-power wireless communication devices, design and development of a micro-power wireless calories meter reading systems. The system consists of many layers, from bottom to top as follows:calorimeter layer, heat transport layer information using thermal information for statistical analysis and presentation layer. It is widely applicable, especially for the increasing residential area. Because the collection terminal does not contain GPRS equipment, effectively keeping the cost of the program device; The communication between the centralized unit and the collection unit via wireless technology, leave out the wiring construction, effectively saving the cost.The emphasis of this paper is the design of transmission layer, which contain the design of data collection terminals and data concentrator,including hardware design schematics, circuit debugging, software programming, communication protocol developing, the test, etc.Experimental results show that the scheme has certain advantages in the cost of equipment, has good maneuverability on the implementation. It has a broad application prospect and popularization value.
