| In recent years, Chinese railway transport have been developed in the direction of higher speed and heavier haul. As one of the key technologies of the train, braking technology is an important guarantee for the train running safety. To develop high-speed and heavy-haul railway transporta-tion the problem of the braking of the train must be firstly brought into consideration, thus re-quirements to the train braking system are getting increasingly higher. With the development of science and technology, the locomotive brake system is also progressing. As new brake technolo-gies such as the electric braking, eddy current brake, magnetic track brake etc. are put into use, braking ways of the train are gradually diversified. But as a secure braking way, the air brake should be preserved and developed in the future. Therefore, during the new period of the develop-ment of Chinese railway transport, the study on the locomotive air brake system still is of a great practical significance.The locomotive air brake system is studied in this paper. Combined with the development of the locomotive brake system in China, the research is carried out base on air brake system of HXD3 electric locomotive.Firstly, a brief introduction of the key components of CCB Ⅱ brake system,which is used on HXD3 electric locomotive, is made. Through the analysis of the control relationship between the five components, as the perform component of the system electro-pneumatic control unit (EPCU) is set as the research object, and its work mechanism is analyzed in detail.Secondly, the seven portions of EPCU, including equalizing reservoir control por-tion(ERCP),brake pipe control portion(BPCP),13 pipe control portion(13CP),16 pipe control por-tion(16CP),20 pipe control portion(20CP),brake reservoir control portion(BPCP),and dynamic brake triple valve(DBTV),are modeled based on AMESim and analyzed by simulation. Next, based on the portions’ models, the complete model of the braking system is established. Through the comparison analysis between the simulation results and relative standard of locomo-tive braking system, the accuracy of the braking system model is verified. The simulation analysis includes a variety of conditions under the functions of automatic braking,separate braking func-tion and air backup.Finally, using the established simulation model of the air brake system, this paper chooses all brake and emergency brake of automatic braking function as the typical working conditions and electromagnetic valve size, biggest opening of air supply/exhaust valve in relay valves and gas volume as the typical parameters to analyze the influence of the parameters and set them at rea-sonable values. |
