Research And Application Of The Chinese Korean Nationality Traditional Folk Culture In Architectural Design

Chinese Korean nationality is a branch of the traditional Korean nationality. Its unique history and cultural background forms its unique aesthetic conception and folk culture. The folk culture of the Chinese Korean nationality, which is a traditional cultural system, becomes a new focus point of the architects for achieving the goal of reflecting the traditional cultural symbols in the modern architectural designs.This paper reviews the traditional folk cultural firstly. Then, refer to the advantages of the traditional Chinese Korean, the content applying in the architectural designs is seek and promoted by management, analysis and research of the traditional folk culture. The field research was performed by the author. The detailed living conditions and traditional architectural culture was recorded and the relationship between the fork culture and traditional architectures was analyzed at the sight of form, technique and functions. In the process of analyzing the elements, reasonable research strategy and design methods was proposed by combining the theories of the architectural design and nationality.National character reveals the spiritual culture. Meanwhile, traditional folk culture is the settled development of a certain collective, which is reflected during the living and producing process. It is the crucial spiritual culture of a nationality. There are two researching aspects for the inheriting the traditional folk culture in the architecture field. One is utilizing the national symbols and forms directly in the modern designs, which is regarded as conservatism. The other one extracts and purifies the concept of the folk culture, and then transforms it into available design elements in the architecture designs. Therefore, the deeper understanding of the traditional culture will inherit the national spirits by combining the modern architecture design theories and the new design methods will be created.The research is divided into three sections. The first one is the researching stage of the traditional folk culture of the Chinese Korean nationality. In this section, the researching target is the folk culture and architectural culture. In the perspective of history, traditional customs, living conditions, literature and art, the impressive national architectural designs are extracted. Then, the culture content is analyzed which requires the management of the extracted abstract elements. By analyzing the relationship of the folk culture and the architectural design, reasonable strategy is proposed. The final section is the combination of the theory and the practical. With the actual projects, solutions will be discussed.In the research process, the trend of culture fusion appears and becomes a barrier to the development of the traditional Chinese Korean nationality culture. In addition, it also becomes a major problem to the researchers in the architectural field.
