In the course of our economic development and national defense construction, highway is playing an important role in them, and it also has a great significance on economic development and national security. Under the effects of traffic load and many other things, the fatalities, such as the deformed slope, landslides, collapse, and so on, are making a serious influence on the quality of road and its use, and as well, they made a great effect on personal security and economic development. Therefore, it has been the most important problem of keeping road safe to know about our highway slope condition and take some effective controlling methods.According to the conditions, whose traditional manual monitoring is unable to detect the highway slope instantly, this paper studies on a new remote monitoring system relying on the Department of Educational Project of the twelfth five-year scientific and technological research in Ji Lin province(based on the timely monitoring system of roadbeds’ virtual instrument and GPRS technology), which can make a instant detection on highway slope bolt’s displacement and compression.Its design is based on the data collection device on scene of IAP12C5A60S2 SCM. It also takes advantage of stress sensors and displacement sensors to pick up bolt’s compression and displacement, and to save the collected data sent from transmitter to SCM, then uploads data by GPRS to Management Center once twenty-four hours each.This thesis promotes a program of solar power system based on photovoltaic technology. It takes use of photovoltaic technology for bit data acquisition system and GPRS data transmission to provide power. After spotting investigation for the monitoring sites, according to the environment, it evaluates the energy consumption of system to ensure the size of solar panels and batteries. It also designs overcharged and discharged protection device to protect the stability of solar power system.Besides, it invents a PC system on the basis of virtual instrument technology. It uses modular.Labview, a graphical programming language, to finish writing the PC program and designing the appropriate interface, then to process the timely collected data and to save them to the database. It will be easy for staff to observe slope parameter information and call the history data.This system takes use of GPRS technology, virtual instrument technology and solar power technology to complete the remote monitoring function of highway slope.The system owns the advantages of unattended operations, immediate feedback, high cost-performance ratio and so on. It effectively solutes some problems of low speed of traditional manual monitoring method, poor time and so on. It really has a highly value on economic and scientific research.
