With the rapid development of our country’s road transportation industry, highway transportation appeared a trend of the traffic multiplication and the overload seriously, the existing road materials can not meet the requirement, the build cement concrete pavement have go to the overhaul period. New roads used asphalt concrete as the surface, in order to providing a uniform and strong support for asphalt pavement, which can improve the overall capacity.And deal with the poor crack resistance of concrete base,which can lead to the reflection crack in the surface. The auther put forward the polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete, combining with the properties of both, and using it as the base of the pavement overhaul project.The auther has done the following work for the Polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete:(1)The raw material performance requirements and the related experimental methods of polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete are reviewed.(2)Collected the relevant data and documents about the polypropylene fiber and RCC, while stated the reinforcing mechanism of the polypropylene fiber and the workability of RCC, which provided the theoretical support of the fusion of technology.(3) Based on the different age of polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete specimens for compressive and flexural strength test, founding its 7 day strength reach 75% of the 28 day strength, its early strenght form quickly, which is helpful to openning the traffic as soon as possible and can meet the high strength requirements of the heavy traffic reconstruction project; the 28 day compressive strength of 40 mpa and the flexural strength of 6Mpa, which meet the design requirements.(4)Based on the test about mixing the polypropylene fiber or not, founding that the compressive and flexural strength of mixture which with polypropylene fiber is slightly increased, but not obvious; Based on the surface damage of the compressive specimens and the improvement of splitting strength, which confirmed polypropylene fiber can improve the crack resistance of mixtrue.(5)ompared the different dosage of fly ash on the influence about the polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete specimen consistency, founding that the moderate amount of fly ash can improve the performance of mixture.Based on Yueyang S201 Tietao Highway overhaul reconstruction project, the author has performed some experimental research into polypropylene fiber roller compacted concrete. Having introduced the fundamental principles and the related construction technology of the technique, the project practice has improved that by using this technique, one can simplify the process, shorten the construction period and reduce the cost during the old cement pavement reconstruction.
