Because of this special medical building function and status, people pay more attention to its environment, so medical building energy consumption is more than twice as other public buildings; In the medical building energy consumption, energy consumption of HVAC systems is especially high. As for this particular situation, the topic has made lots of effort to explore the medical building HVAC system energy saving potential through the way of research, theoretical analysis, simulation software and ect.Firstly, author reviewed the medical literature of building energy consumption, then researched and measured three different types of hospitals in Shandong province, made a more rational classification of medical building energy consumption, got HVAC system energy consumption indicators and its proportion of total energy consumption, analyzed the proportions of the different types of HVAC systems account for the total building energy consumption. Then start from the HVAC heat source, heating network, the end, proposed energy saving measures due to characteristics of hospital buildings. Finally author chose a comprehensive ward as research subjects, assessed the feasibility and economy of the heating and cooling system which refers to the most common heating and cooling system and solar-ground source heat pump system.Traditional medical building HVAC system is not fully applicable to the medical building, we can provide new ideas and methods for medical design and renovation of existing medical building construction by researching this topic, provide the basis for further research related to energy-saving of medical building, to achieve the purpose of reduce energy consumption of medical buildings.
