Research On Viewing And Performance Space Of Huizhou Ancient Stage

Chinese opera has developed for thousand of years, even since the primitive society. With the development of Chinese opera, Chinese theater also evolves as time goes by. There are many traditional theaters in both urban and rural areas in China. As the origin of Huizhou local opera, Anhui also has many ancient theaters in Ming and Qing dynasties. In the end of Ming and the early Qing, Huizhou local opera has matured, and Nanxi developed gradually. As the cradle of Huizhou local opera, more and more Huizhou ancient stages are constructed. This paper studies the features of audience area and performance area of Huizhou ancient stage, the vision and tone quality of Huizhou ancient stage, which is of great significance to the performance of Huizhou ancient stage and the protection of Huizhou ancient stage.This paper studies the following aspects.First, I mainly describe the research background and significance of this paper. This chapter analyzes the findings of every senior architects and scholars in the Chinese ancient stage and the Chinese ancient stages, and summarizes the existed studies about Huizhou ancient stage.Second, I discuss the historical evolution of the Huizhou opera and viewing and performance places and reaches a conclusion that the evolution of Huizhou ancient stage is carried along by the development of Huizhou opera. As Huizhou opera actors separate from the audiences, and Huizhou opera gets common gradually, the viewing and performance places of Huizhou opera evolves into a fixed stage finally.Third, I analyze the present situation of residual Huizhou ancient stages. This chapter describes the distribution of the existing and the heritage of Huizhou ancient stages. Than according to three aspects that include the service object, architectural form and method used, this paper classifies Huizhou ancient stages.Forth, I summarize the floor planes, sections, and 3rd models, sorts out the data and analyzes the number features of Huizhou ancient stages, according to the data after measuring the eight ancient stages. Finally this paper concludes the features of viewing and performance places. The feature of viewing space includes five aspects, namely horizontal deployment courtyard; the courtyard that has a appropriate ratio of height to width; the courtyard that layout the buildings for viewing the opera; Xiangtang that is half open space; the plane of Xiangtang that is “hollow” glyph.And at the end, I analyze the vision of ancient Huizhou stages according to three aspects that includes sight distance, vertical viewing angle and horizontal viewing angle. The fifth chapter suggests Huizhou ancient stage sight line of sight from the vertical perspective, level, from the perspective of the three directions. Results show that the visual design of Huizhou ancient stage meets the basic requirements of modern theatre. This chapter also includes loudness, stage acoustics support, reverberation and background noise according to acoustics theory of modern acoustics of Huizhou ancient stage, and the results show that the vision of Huizhou ancient stage basically meet he requirements of the modern theatre. This paper also analyzes the tone quality of Huizhou ancient stage and concludes loudness of sound, STE and background noise. Finally, this paper puts forward the improving strategies according to the results of the analysis.
