Non-motorized vehicle traffic has always been an important part in China’s urban transportation system. In recent years, the rapid development of electric bicycle has changed the original non-motorized vehicle traffic system leaded by bike, and leaded to a new-type travel stream of mixing electric bicycle with bicycle, which has the characteristics of traffic individual traveling mixed and interact each other at a speed of fast or slow. However, new-style non-motorized traffic stream for micro motion mechanism has not been given strict attention and systematical research now. Taking the new-style non-motorized vehicle stream with the electric bicycle as the research object, contrasting the traffic characteristics of the electric bicycle and the bicycles as the breakthrough point, this paper proposes the micro motion model of non-motor vehicles, including the following models and space interpolation model, in the premise of the division criterion for the non-motor vehicle motion state, to achieve the purpose of describing the travel rules about new-type non-motor vehicles accurately. Then the paper conducts a simulation for the flowing and space interpolation model by the method of object oriented, and verifies the feasibility of the model.The paper summarizes and analyzes the characteristics of non-motorized vehicles, including the basic characteristics, micro behavior characteristics, and traffic stream characteristics. Combined with the characteristics of motor vehicle and non-motorized vehicles, the standards to judge the moving state for the free driving state, flowing state, and gap interpolation state, is formulated.The flowing model of new-style non-motorized vehicle is established with the concept of no driveway partition. Basing on the nonlinear flowing model of motor vehicle, giving full consideration to the specific situation of the mixed travel of the fast and slow individuals and the desire to approach the expected speed in the fast flowing process, the paper presents the flowing model for the non-motorized vehicles, including double-car flowing, deflection following and ordinary following. By the use of video processing software, the paper obtains a large amount of micro data of vehicle trajectory, then the model is calibrated and verified.The space interpolation model is established for the non-motorized vehicles in the light of the utility selection. According to the appearance that high speed of individuals are always busy with adjusting their speed to the expected, the paper proposes that space interpolation is the result of driver’s selection for the degree of satisfaction in different spaces, and establishes the space interpolation model on the basis of the utility selection by the Logit model. Given the no-lane conception of the non-motorized vehicles, the paper takes the gap distance to the target vehicle and characteristics of space itself as the variables for the benefit function. By the use of video processing software, the paper obtains a large amount of micro data of flowing trajectory, then the space interpolation model to judge is calibrated by the maximum likelihood estimation method and verified the feasibility of the model using the relevant parameters.With the flowing model and space interpolation model as the core sub model, this paper compiles the simulation program and verifies the validity of the model to a satisfactory result.On the basis of a large number of electric bicycles mixed with the non-motorized traffic stream, and the specific circumstances of the non-motorized traffic stream taking over the main position in mixed traffic, this paper analyzes and summaries the characteristics for it. Further, the gap inserted model, which combines he following model and the gap distance with gap characteristics together, is put forward in detail. Compared with classical model, the two model can reflect the traveling condition of the non-motorized vehicles at present better. The result can provide reference for the study on microcosmic simulation of non-motorized vehicles, or can be the theoretical basis for the traffic facilities optimization of non-motorized vehicles.
