The development of high-speed railway is a magnificent turn in Chinese transportation history. Its high-speed characteristic makes the travel time compression and spatial distance collapse, so as to provide a convenient traffic conditions and a new round of development opportunities for city. And how to achieve orderly growth between high-speed railway transit and urban space has become the key of a successful construction in high-speed railway station areas.The dissertation achieved a breakthrough from the macro to the micro level,researching on sustainable development’s route and mode of High Speed Rail Station Areas. Firstly, the paper systematically reviewed the relevant theories, including corridor effect, TOD development and the station complex. Meanwhile, based on both domestic and foreign typical case study on high-speed rail station areas, learning from the successful experience, and proposed specific strategies of land use and spatial planning in high-speed railway station areas.The dissertation has theory study and practical discussion two major parts:In theory study, at the macro level, it explored the general relationship between the high-speed railway construction, high-speed rail station area development and urban development. And further interpretation to the micro-level— high-speed rail station areas, the paper first defines the effective impacted scope of high-speed rail station,then proposed Transit-Oriented circle functional distribution and spatial structure pattern. Secondly, it systematically elaborated integrative organization of transport facilities, involving “ zero transfer ” —integrative organization of transferring connection, traffic integrative organization and Integrated Transport spatial arrangement, to well integrated "nodes" traffic function of high-speed rail station. Finally, emphasizing "place" spirit, it proposed efficient and diverse land use, involving diversity, density and utilization of underground space.In practical discussion, it takes the urban design of the high-speed rail station area in Wenling as a case.At the first,it analyzed the evolution of urban and rural space in Zhejiang Province, along with high-speed rail network, also further analyzed that how Yongtaiwen high-speed rail and high-speed rail station construction affect urban development of Wenling, to resolve development orientation of Wenling high-speed rail station area. Then tried to verify the development theories of high-speed rail station areas, involving Transit-Oriented circle functional distribution and spatial structure pattern, integrative organization of transport facilities, efficient and diverse land use. Finally, provide a reference and guidance for High Speed Rail Station area planning in the future.
