Research on Reliability of electromechanical equipment focus on the military, electrical automation, manufacturing and many other fields. Along with the increasing significance in national economy, the requirements on reliability of electromechanical equipment are becoming higher and higher. However, the development level of domestic electromechanical equipment is much lower than foreign similar products. Accouting for the situation of lower reliability of domestic electromechanical equipment, the paper focus on reliability theory of design stage of electromechanical equipment and the application of reliability design method was also researched.Firstly, this paper briefly analyzes the research status of reliability theory of electromechanical equipment at home and abroad. The independent analysis idea has proposed according to the electromechanical equipment has" machinery " and " electronic " dual attributes. Contrast the gap between mechanical reliability and the electronic reliability to prove the mechanical reliability are the weakness of electromechanical equipment system. And put forward the ideas and methods of learning from electronic reliability project.Secondly, research on the theories and methods of reliability modeling and reliability prediction of electromechanical equipment, especially study the calculation theory of machinery series system considering the correlations. Propose the method of separating mechanical and electronic reliability prediction by comparing the electronic and mechanical prediction theories and the method is applied through using the software.Thirdly, study on the method of reliability index and reliability index allocation for electromechanical equipment systems in the design process. Aimed at converting the index of system into each subsystem to direct the development and design, a fuzzy-hierarchy analytical method for reliability index allocation has been proposed based on fuzzy triangle number and expert judgment, a case study of reliability allocation on the wiring service robots system turns out the method satisfied the requirements.Lastly, according to the failure characteristics of mechanical system study the failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and fault tree analysis (FTA) besides the quantitative analysis. the step and procedure of integrated analyzing and evaluating method is summarized by contrast FMEA and FTA and the reliability of3-DOF manipulator is analyzed and evaluated using this method and establishes the FTA and FMEA. Then summary the research result and prospects.
