With the increasing strength of governing the urban automobile exhaust, the clean energy represented by CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) attracts much more attentions than ever before.As an energy superpower of CNG, China will vigorously advance national development of the gas stations, and the requirement of the measurement in the stations is required urgently.However, operated upon a Single-chip Microcomputer system, the existing CNG Dispenser only supports the hardware-based keyboard input, of which the complicated operation is the main obstacle to the staffs at gas station. On the other hand, in view of the prevalence of the smart terminals as well as the touch-screen-based GUI, the widely utilization of interactive database in back-stage management, coupled with the massive growth of gas station scales, the existing CNG Dispenser electronic control system is no longer meet the requirements of both the users and the market. As a result, the intelligent CNG Dispenser electronic control system with easy operation, database management and excellent scalability is an urgent need at present.Considering the condition of the natural gas industry, this dissertation presents a new generation of intelligence CNG dispenser electronic control system based on ARM11, with the application running on embedded Linux and7inch LCD screen to display the data. The application includes the GUI(graphical user interface), background business logical program and database. After doing research into the principle and the industry trends of the CNG dispenser, I decided to use Qt to realize the GUI. And the background business logical program was implemented by C++and data was stored in SQLite. Now, the design and implementation of the system’s prototype has already been finished. The prototype covers all the functions of the traditional CNG dispenser, and provides a touch-screen operator interface with an virtual keyboard and a SQL database. The system has passed the function test on embedded system. What’s more, I summarized the relevant achievements and published a paper in the international conference as first author indexed by El.The contribution of the thesis can be concluded as follows:the work creatively introduces the concept of Smart Terminal into the traditional gas-fueling industry.The touch-screen operator interface and powerful database greatly simplifies the gas station ordinary staffs’ operative difficulty and stationmaster’s data management. The solution of the new generation of intelligent CNG dispenser, which is leading product in today’s gas-fueling industry, has a significance to be promoted.
