As the most critical aspect of manufacturing, the logistics, the information flow, theproduction capacity, the production efficiency and the production costs are considered inthe layout design and evaluation of manufacturing system, which will integrate theenterprise manufacturing resources in a limited production space inside reasonably andefficiently. Good system layout, not only can improve the velocity of the material, but alsoshorten the product life cycle greatly. It will obtain opportunities for enterprises todominate the market by improving production efficiency and speeding up the business inresponse to market demand.However, with the continuous development of modern manufacturing, newmanufacturing technologies, such as networking, intelligence, systematization, flexibilityand so on continue to emerge, which is also issued a new challenge in the design andevaluation of manufacturing systems layout. It is essential to create an integrated plantplanning platform including layout design, logistics system design and program evaluation.Therefore, the design layout for the workshop also proposed a new workshop layoutevaluation method in this paper. The specific contents are as followed:Firstly, based on the theory of SLP, workshop layout design is created. The newworkshop raw data of case business is analyzed deeply. The production process of theproduct is designed reasonably, by the application of system layout design method (SLP).Taking the variety of different types as example, several rational layout programs aredetermined by analyzing the logistics relationships between the various operating units,computing each operating units closeness and drawing a correlation diagram to show theposition of the operating units. Secondly, workshop layout evaluation system is established. It is introduced toestablish evaluation methods and process evaluation index system. Based on the existingplant layout indicators, green nature and humanity related indicators are added to theworkshop layout evaluation system integrating new ideas and concepts of advancedmanufacturing. The evaluation index system is constructed for the layout of the workshopreasonably.Finally, based on the layout of the workshop, the entropy FAHP method is introduced.Through the basic concept brief introduction of entropy and FAHP, the comprehensiveevaluation model of entropy FAHP is constructed, focusing on the process entropy weightmethod to determine the weight and the triangular fuzzy number to build the fuzzyevaluation matrix. Finally, it is effective to use the entropy FAHP model for shop layoutevaluation, obtaining the evaluation results to provide decision for policymakers.
