A Research On Cost Management And Data Analysis Of BIM Technology In The A Project

Every revolutionary technology will change the traditional construction engineering that has been existed for hundreds years. Entering the21st century, with the changes of electronic information technology and the changes of the process and philosophy in construction engineering, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) has been widely concerned by the construction industry as a new concept of construction engineering and a new production means. The domestic and overseas studies on BIM developed significantly in recent years. BIM technology has been widely used in some major large-scale projects.In the construction process of engineering projects, costs control and management is extremely important, which penetrated the whole construction project. Effective costs control and management can bring considerable benefits in economy, quality, schedule, and so on. Based on the literature review and the combination of the application of BIM technology and the costs control of the construction project, this paper holds that BIM technology is not only an advanced production means, what is more importantly that through the BIM technology, the multi-dimensional model can replace drawings to be a major information media in the construction and production process, so as to transfer the traditional construction mode of drawings-based work flow into a model-based work flow, which improved the entire automation level of the engineering construction. BIM technology made a profound impact on the engineering construction industry. Based on the studies on BIM and combination of costs control and management, this paper future deepened the process of engineering construction and studied the feasibility of improving the costs, quality and time schedule of construction project management, and reducing the economic costs of labor, time, etc. by means of BIM technology.
