Finally focus from hardware and software aspects of digital substation relay protection put forward a series of improving measures about reliability.In this paper the main algorithm for digital system reliability analysis-based on shortest path set algorithm and traditional evaluation method, the fault tree analysis method to make improvements, Instance shows that the improved algorithm and the good performance of the GO method, can be used as the future of digital substation relay protection system reliability comprehensive evaluation reference. For digital substation in the problems of modeling, function parameters such as the core technology has a certain guiding significance.
