Video surveillance technology has the characteristics of high integration and intuitive monitoring, can provide rich information content. At present, video surveillance technology is widely used in the field of security and surveillance industry. With the rapid development of video surveillance technology, streaming media technology and mobile Internet technology, video surveillance technology has entered the digital, intelligent, mobile Internet Era. Traditional video surveillance system has been unable to meet the requirements of today’s emergency logistics field. Intelligent video surveillance system based on Android system is becoming a new trend of development. It also has a wide application prospect and practical value in the field of emergency logistics. This paper designs a set of vehicle video monitoring system, solving the problem of high cost, long cycle, and the problem of poor mobility deployment of traditional video surveillance system. This system is suitable for the emergency logistics or other industries with higher mobility requirements.This paper is about building video monitoring system platform, transferring system driver and processing streaming media video. It emphasizes on analyzing the function demands and technical points of video surveillance system, and explaining how to make use of cross compiler tool chain, how to transplant camera driver, how to process FFmpeg video program.This paper includes three important modules, like video data acquisition terminal, the server, and Android video surveillance client. Video image acquisition tool uses open source FFmpeg project. Video data transmission protocol uses real-time messaging protocol RTMP which is based on TCP, this module can acquire video data by camera, sends video data to the streaming server and saves video stream to SD card. Android video surveillance client video player module uses the API of open source project VLC player to implement the system can access the server by both Web client on PC and Android client to achieve real-time monitoring of remote field.
