Research And Practice On Vernacular Architecture Adaptability Improvement In Weizhou Island,Guangxi, For Rural Tourism Development

In the process of urbanization, rural areas become attractive "tourism resources", because of different original ecological resources in natural and humanities contrast to cities, which Provides new opportunities for rural development. However, vernacular architecture face the grim challenge under the background of urban expansion and rural tourism,and adaptability improvment to vernacular architecture provided a new possibility for inheritance protection.In this paper, author analyses vernacular architecture practice of "July" youth hostel in weizhou island, to pursue the nature of vernacular architecture value, passing through the complexity and inherent dialectical relationship in the process of transformation. Meanwhile, summarizing problems between the development of rural tourism and the rural original ecosystem, regarding Weizhou island as an emerging destination in China. And then discussing the relationship between urban and rural in the view of new village resort hotels, from a case to the common phenomenon. As a result, coming out with such a research context named "urban and rural-rural tourism and rural original ecosystem-vernacular architecture inheritance and adaptability improvement", which is not only a summarize to a practice, but also a discussion to the social issues in the practice background.
