Study On The Creation Of Neo-Vernacular Architecture In Northern Guangxi

Located in the northeastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,northern Guangxi is inhabited by Han,Zhuang,Yao,Dong and Miao ethnic minorities,preserving a relatively complete local folk culture,while northern Guangxi retains its unique traditional local architectural culture.With the development of economy and the rise of folklore tourism,more and more local dwellings have begun to show a lot of inadaptability in response to the invasion of modern life,and various new local construction activities have begun to move closer to international modern architecture.Fortunately,with the development of architectural pluralism in the world,new vernacularism emerged as a new trend against architectural globalization.Neo-vernacular architecture mainly emphasizes the excavation of traditional vernacular culture and its improvement and innovation in order to continue the development of vernacular culture in the new environment.Taking the local architecture in northern Guangxi and the new local architecture in recent years as the main research objects,this paper hopes to find out the adaptive creative ideas of the new local architecture theory in northern Guangxi through the analysis of the practice of the new local architecture at home and abroad on the basis of in-depth understanding of the current situation of the traditional culture in northern Guangxi,and to explore a development road of the traditional local architecture in northern Guangxi under the guidance of the new vernacularism.It provides some reference for the future development and practice of architecture in northern Guangxi.The first chapter describes the research status of traditional and new vernacular architecture at home and abroad,as well as the discrimination of related concepts.It also introduces the research methods and purposes of this paper,and gives the research framework for the creation of new vernacular architecture in northern Guangxi.In the second chapter,based on the background of natural features and human conditions in northern Guangxi,the characteristics of traditional vernacular dwellings in northern Guangxi under different national cultures are analyzed through field surveys and mapping,and various problems encountered in the development of traditional vernacular buildings in northern Guangxi are concluded through inquiries and observation of the current situation of local residents.In the third chapter,the development of new vernacular architecture at home and abroad is analyzed in the deductive form of new vernacular architecture,and four stages of the development of new vernacular architecture in northern Guangxi are summarized through the development characteristics of new vernacular architecture at home and abroad.In addition,the development direction of new vernacular architecture in northern Guangxi is determined by the analysis of the practice of new vernacular architecture in recent years.Chapter IV summarizes the creative ideas of the new vernacular architecture in northern Guizhou by synthesizing the conclusions of Chapter ? and Chapter ?,and then further presents the theoretical strategies by using the design practice of Longsheng Sishui Tourist Center in Guilin.Finally,the research results of the full text are summarized,and deficiencies are found.The future development of traditional and new vernacular architecture in northern Guangxi is prospected.
