China covers a territorial sea of3million square kilometers, South China Sea is an important sea lane, which is of abundant supplies and has a significant strategic position. The development of related research on maritime communication will be of great value on economic, politics and military affairs.Virtual visualization technology research and related application development is a research hotspot in today’s computer field. With this technique, it is possible to reduce losses, save money, and bring real feelings to researchers. The combination of virtual visualization and maritime communication, is capable of reproducing the correlation between vessels state and sea wave characteristics, and enables the visual expression of data, which will be advantageous to further research on maritime communications.In this thesis, information of virtual visualization technology is firstly introduced and organized, then the prospect of virtual visualization technique is forecasted, finally the important place of virtual visualization on communication field, especially on maritime communication field is pointed put. The main contents of the thesis are listed as follows:Based on MultiGen Creator, the Open Flight format is analyzed and discussed, and the applications in this article are presented in accordance with the practical application.Based on MultiGen Vega Prime, virtual visual simulation platform suitable for marine communications is structured.According to hydrological conditions and vessels motion status, a maritime communication channel model is built.By using Visual Studio platform and MFC framework, combining the Visual Studio programming and Vega Prime API library, substituting the maritime communication channel model, and coding in C++program, the virtual visualization platform is achieved.Main result:A new channel calculation algorithm based on vessel location and dip is proposed, where the wave and environment are included. And the channel is combined with virtual visualization, through research and implementation, visual expression of marine communications and control are completed. The results show that, with a more accurate express for the sea channel model, virtual visual simulation platform of this article is more intuitive and vivid for sea channel simulation.
