The progress of the project management is the basis for the implementation of the project objectives, develop a reasonable and orderly progress of the project plan, the actual progress of each unit of work to check the progress of the project implementation process, to identify the differences of actual and planned progress, andtake effective measures to ensure the effective implementation of the project’s schedule, the duration of the project cost within the plan. The progress of the project management aim is to achieve the optimal duration of more than fast the province to complete the task.This article is based on knowledge of project management on the progress of the project planning and control principles, processes and methods used in engineering practice.The installation works in construction projects in Company A, for example, discusses in detail the specific content of the preparation process of the project schedule and progress control, through research, to determine the objectives of the network plan, the project goal decomposition has ties to explicitly work,determine the critical path, work duration calculation, the contents of the key nodes of the progress of the project, the preparation of company A construction project to install the project schedule network diagram. Redefine the critical path method scientific compressed duration of the project, to optimize network planning, the re-optimized network plan and targeted implementation measures optimized to work out the actual situation, the progress of adjustment to keep the duration of the project is not delayed to ensure project quality and cost with the least. Finally, on the progress of the works are evaluated, and based on this project and other projects in the process of project management plan, schedule control problems that exist in the summary, summed up the practical measures, for the future project to provide scientific theoretical basis.
