With accelerating population growth and urbanization process in China in recent years, urban ecological environment is destroyed during construction process due to insufficient environmental protection. As an important factor for improving urban ecological environment and realizing sustainable development, landscape engineering has been increasingly emphasized. Meanwhile, national urban planning policy and standards of "Garden City" and "Eco-city" also attract unceasing local government investment in landscape engineering, allowing the landscape engineering industry into a rapid development stage.Precisely owing to generally low payment ratio of government investment projects in the landscape engineering construction process, there are commonly2to3years conservation period after project completion with longer project payment recovery period. In recent years, BT construction pattern is gradually promoted in a large landscape engineering project, which puts forward higher requirements for financial strength of the construction unit. Most landscape engineering enterprises generally raise funds through bank loans or short-term private lending, which means less funding channels, retriscted scale and high cost. Subject to capital constraints, the project contracting ability of the construction unit has been greatly affected. At the same time the total private capital amount is too tremendous to lack investment channels of high-yielding and low-risk. Cooperative construction pattern is to attract private capital to participate in the construction in the form of investment, jointly manage the project cost and participate in the profit distribution. As a new construction financing pattern, win-win cooperation between both investors and construction sides is achieved. This article is mainly for the study on application of cooperative investment pattern in the landscape engineering.With respect to housing construction, municipal and installation engineering, landscape engineering has its particularity. It is mainly manifested in that its main materials used are animated plants, featuring the landscape engineering a strong seasonality and tight construction duration. Project management theory and system research related to landscape engineering are comparatively lagging behind. Cost management during project construction is of crucial importance to whether profit can be maximally achieved to attract investment units to involve in the cooperative construction with higher profit margins. This article is intended to practice the practical application of total cost management and life cycle cost management system in the landscape engineering; study how the cost control target is achieved through decomposition and implementation of cost forest, cost planning and cost target as well as cost accounting, propose the specific cost control measures on human labors, machineries, materials and administrative expenses of landscape engineering projects through study, which can provide a reference for cost control of landscape engineering projects.
