With the rapid development of computer technology and the widespread use of fieldbus technology in railway vehicle control field, railway vehicle is increasing its demands to network controlling. In recent years, railway transportation technology in China has been developed rapidly by constantly introducing advanced techniques and equipment of railway vehicle from abroad. After the introduction, digestion and absorption, China has obtained extraordinary progress of train network control technology, which is one of key technology of railway vehicle. Active localization work is being in progress. Therefore, replace foreign congener product with localization product of networked control system and network control node equipment is imperative. The market prospect is capacious. The main purpose of this paper was to establish a locomotive network control system simulation platform for the research and development of locomotive network control system principle and related product by using the method of computer simulation.In this paper, general development situation of train network control system based on WorldFIP domestic and overseas was reviewed. WorldFIP and CAN protocols and a typical application of WorldFIP in locomotive network control system were briefly described. The WorldFIP and CAN protocols were briefly discussed and a typical application of WorldFIP in locomotive network control system as well. Paper also introduced the structure and working principle of locomotive braking system and the communication mechanism and data flow format between braking system and locomotive network control system. Establish simulation platform of locomotive network control based on WorldFIP and developing application program in LabVIEW environment. The platform simulates the communication mechanism and the control logic between main process unit of locomotive network control system based on WorldFIP and brake control unit based on CAN and realize functional simulation of bus communication of locomotive network control system and protocol conversion. Test result of joint debugging shows that the simulation development platform of locomotive network control can meet the needs of practical application. The software and hardware design of platform is reliable and system configuration is convenient. The platform runs stably and is easy to secondary development. At the same time, it provides a good platform for the study of WorldFIP locomotive network control system and independent research and development of related products.
