Process planning and control is an important connotation of project management. It is one of the three great targets of project management, together with the cost management and the quality management. It is crucial to project management whether we can carry out effective planning and control of project process to get the anticipated goal. The quality of process planning and control directly affect the economic benefit and the development prospect as well as the result of the project operation. Effectively applying the relevant theory of process planning and control to the project development can guide the implement of project scheduling fruitfully, so as to guarantee the project completed on schedule.The current thesis takes the project of "Renovation of Factory Lighting" as the example to research on how to apply the theories of project process management to each step of process planning and control of projects of this kind. The thesis use various skills of modern project process management to discuss the specific application methods of modern project process management in the renovation of industrial factory lighting, including WBS, Gunter Chart, Critical Path, Network Planning, and so on. In the writings of process control, the thesis introduces the concerned theories, and discusses the process control of the project of "Renovation of Factory Lighting" in detailed systematically. It mainly uses Earned Value Analysis to control the schedule and the cost of the project according to the relationship of the two aspects. It also puts up a dynamic supervision to the project process, which makes reference to common project about renovation.
