With the rapid development of road traffic and the dramatically increased number of cars, the traffic situation is deteriorating, and the amount of traffic information data is expanding. This need using digital means to storage traffic information The traffic information system can improve the security and digitization of the transportation lines and storage the historical information of transportation factors. The problem of traffic safety and the integration of traffic information data will be solved effectively.The database of the original traffic information system for a city contains incomplete information, which includes a lot of poor quality of the information. There exists the problems of traffic information resource repeated acquisition and duplication of development. Besides, the storage capacity for photographs and traffic video is limited, which could only store the information for two weeks. In addition, the geographic data services supplied for the business of the multi-level space are not perfect.According to the above, this paper has developed a traffic information gathering module based on B/S mode. The module uses.Net framework and three-tier architecture. Google Maps API and Javascript supply the need of space geographic data for multi-level business. The Thrift framework achieves a cross-language communication, that the.NET framework can access the HBase database. NHibernate realize the data persistence layer with O/R mapping. Oracle stores the relational data, and Hbase store the unstructured data of pictures and videos.Finally, this paper gives the system performance test, including the system throughput test, insertion pictures performance test, insertion delay test, and query performance test. The system can achieve the gathering of traffic information, as well as pictures and videos storage requirement.
