With the development of the global society and economy, the improving level ofmodern cities around the world, public transport occupies an irreplaceable position inthe ways of people to going out. The concept of intelligent transportation systems hasbeen presented in the early2000s internationally, including fleet dispatch center,electronic bus-board and intelligent vehicle-mounted system. The emergence of theelectronic bus-board solves the problem of waiting to vehicles like blind people.Firstly, this article carries on the analysis to the previous intelligenttransporttation communication network, analyzes the shortcomings of wirelesscommunication FM radio and ZigBee ad hoc networks. To choose the way ofwireless communication based on GPRS. The reason is that the communication wayis based on the flow of the charging, and also can seem them as an independenttransmission node to prevent the adverse impact for the network by the failure of onenode. Meanwhile, buses using GPS to locate the vehicle ensure accurate vehiclelocation and real-time collection of bus-board data.In the next place, this article designs the electronic bus-board system. Thevehicle positioning data and number of the vehicle will be sent to the correspondingfleet dispatch center for processing, and then transmitted to the electronic bus-boardor Android mobile terminals available to passengers. Using SIM908chip aspositioning vehicle terminal and wireless communications carrier to locate thevehicle and send to the dispatch center. Developing abundant dispatch functionsunder WinForm frame to receive and process information from buses, and then sendthe information to bus-boards, MG323as an electronic bus-board terminal GPRSwireless communications carrier, and carried the Linux operating system S3C2440Achip as the master chip of electronic bus-board terminal to achieve the displayinformation of buses, Android SDK as a development environment for mobileterminal to develop BusFinder and avoid missing the station. To promote the development of intelligent transportation systems, improving efficiency and servicequality of public transport, consummating people’s travel reference information on acertain promoting significance.
