With the development of Smart Grid in recent years, the communication technology in the power system is becoming more and more important, and the power grid network has more communication business for the collection, transmission and processing of information in power grid operation. These communication business affect the security of the power grid network. In order to keep stable of the power grid, the reliability of important communication businesses is particularly important.The communication business is operated in the electric power communication network, the reasonable of its topology is very important for the communication business.To strengthen the reliability of electric power communication network in front of unexpected failure is necessary to increase business reliability.This paper designs and implements a planning algorithm of electiric power communication network based on business reliability to improve the reliability of the business. After research of the reliability analysis of electric power communication network and planning analysis, this paper presented an algorithm for reliability analysis of business based on N-X, this algorithm can get different influence on electric power communication network caused by different failures, and proposed a planning methods of electric power communication network. In this paper, the algorithm will be used in the planning system of electric power communication network, to achieve the reliability analysis of electric power communication network with existing network data.And the system will point out the probably risk problems in the electric power communication network, the system can also make a further reliability analysis of the specified failure. The system supports the planning analysis of the specified failure, the result will ensure the reliability of important businesses. The system make a detail design and analysis of these functionality, and make a verification of the reliability analysis of business and planning analysis in the planning system of electiric power communication network based on business reliability.
