With the rapid development of global economy, contradiction between the energy shortage, environmental pollution and economic growth is increasing, electric vehicle, with its advantages such as energy saving, clean and environmental have been widely attention, and be as one of the important measures to solve the contradiction are generalized. At present, domestic and international numerous countries and cities are actively support the development of electric vehicle, the major car manufacturers are also actively involved. The planning and construction of electric vehicle charging facilities as energy supply of electric vehicle will directly affect and restrict the development of electric vehicles. Therefore, research in the optimal planning of power facilities for process on the development of electric vehicles has a certain practical significance.Firstly, this paper includes the research status at home and abroad in three aspects, such as the electric car demand characteristics, behavior characteristics and charging facilities planning. Combined with the basis of electric facilities and charging facilities construction situation both at home and abroad, summarizes the contents and methods of charging facilities planning.Secondly, this paper presents the method of combination of using multiple linear regression analysis and the BASS model with diffusion of the electric vehicle market, establishes prediction model of electric buses in the future market, and taking Beijing as an example for case analysis.Thirdly, analysis the operation data of electric bus charging station of actual demonstration, obtain the model of driving characteristics and operation rules of electric bus, and design the operation process simulation method. Combined with the charge characteristics of charger, based on the actual operation data of electric bus for reference, using Python software complete the simulation and prediction of power load of charging station.Finally, this paper introduces the basic principle of genetic algorithm, establishes the minimum annual comprehensive cost model. Considering charging station construction and operation cost and the size of charging station, with the above forecast quantity of electric buses and power load as the basis, using genetic algorithm to optimize the model, the analysis of the results show that this method has certain validity and rationality.
