This paper, based on the knowledge of various disciplines of the major of architectural environment and energy application engineering, establishes the "HVAC automatic control experimental platform" to simulate the automatic control process of central air-conditioning system and, provides an experimental platform for undergraduate teaching and relevant researches of this major. This experimental platform includes there major components:hardware system, data acquisition system and central monitoring system. This paper consists of cold-source intelligent automatic control system, all-air conditioning unit automatic control system, heat-source(heat recovery) automatic control system and automatic fire-protection simulation system.This paper, based on experience from certain current HVAC comprehensive experimental platforms, starting with conventional control methods, and with heat-source and cold-source system control, all-air air conditioning system control as well as hot and cold water pipe network system control as major research contents, makes a deep analysis of the whole process from the design and assembly of this experimental platform to the development and compilation of its software platform.This paper proposes a design scheme of practical value, describes the establishment process of the experimental systems and provides their experimental plans respectively and, with Honeywell Aiton building automatic control system as the major platform and the software and hardware products developed by Aiton company as tools, establishes this system.This paper, through the use of VisualLogic graphical compilation tool of BACtalk, compiles the control programs for cold-source system, all-air system and heat-source system and, develops monitoring software for them respectively with existing equipment, DDC program and the software Envision for BACtalk. In addition, this paper conducts computer reliability simulation test of control program and monitoring software on this experimental platform, which proves their feasibility.The data acquisition system on this platform can store and display experimental data in a rapid, accurate manner, and experimenters through computer system may automatically control the combined application of experimental hardware and network techniques, which makes it possible for this experimental platform to transmit experimental data over long distance through network and conduct the required experimental operation.Now that building intelligent control is still in its phase of development, there is a great gap between practical engineering application and theoretical knowledge, particularly to the architectural environment majors who have just started their career. This paper, therefore, is of certain value for reference.
