Landscape Design’s core technology is the shaping of landscape space, while the geometric elements are the basic unit of shaping the landscape space, therefore, how to use geometric elements in shaping the landscape space is one of the main topics of prime-disciplinary research. Landscape space covers local culture heritage, scale, scope, environmental behavior psychology and other disciplines, and it is affected by combination form and mutual relationship of factors such as rocks, water, construction, vegetation and other elements, so its research is complex and difficult. Currently, research on geometric modeling elements and landscape space design is mostly concentrated on the level of geometric characteristics of elements itself, color, plane and three-dimensional constitutes, and overall, the study is fragmented and non-systematic. Therefore, application of the geometric modeling elements in the landscape space design has a very important practical significance.Based on the history of landscape design at home and abroad, this paper uses literature collection, comparative analysis, data collection, case evidence, space simulation method to analyze research trends of geometry modeling elements and landscape design at home and abroad, define the connotation and denotation of geometric modeling elements, and explore the relationship between geometry and landscape design from the unity of geometric elements and complex dimensions.an integrated theory system of geometric modeling elements to shape the landscape space is created based on the relationship between landscape design features and constructivism, minimalism, environment behavioral psychology, ergonomics and aesthetics of landscape design. application research of geometric modeling elements is based on three kind of scales, that is the determination of macro design and spatial layout, process management concept of scale, micro design elements, landscape design methods and expression in visual communication, constitute practices, shaping the landscape elements and other aspects are discussed in detail from these basic components of the point line surface.The full text is divided into four parts, the first part comprises the first two chapters, in the first chapter of the thesis, research purpose, significance, research trends at home and abroad as well as content and technical route are discussed in detail; the second chapter defines related concepts and explores the relationship between the geometric modeling elements and landscape space. The second part includes the third chapter; the basic theory of the research is studied to provide a theoretical basis for the study of geometric modeling elements in landscape design. The third part includes a fourth chapter, which is the core of thesis, its main research contents is method of geometric modeling elements in landscape applications. The fourth part is the conclusion and prospect.
