Protection of historic buildings is a very difficult task, protection and development of urban development is sustainable contradictions and unified process. Qiqihar is an important border city in northern China, located in the western region of Heilongjiang Province, is one of the 56 mega-cities of China, is inhabited by ethnic minorities. She has a long history and rich cultural heritage. Currently, there are over 500 historic buildings in Qiqihar, they number more widely distributed, long years, many types and in poor condition, miscellaneous property.Firstly, the protection of historic buildings at home and abroad were analyzed, the theory of history and the history of the status quo of the development of architecture of Qiqihar were combed, and then summed up and remediation, and contradictions in Qiqihar city construction mistakes historic buildings and new construction is proposed Qiqihar urban planning in historic building conservation measures, pointing out the significance of the protection of historic buildings and the impact on the culture of the city.
