In today’s rapid economic development in the new period, all kinds of industries in the construction business are in constantly update and improvement of electric power industry enterprises as the basis of our country economy, it is particularly important to self-improvement, in the process of thermal power construction project is the accuracy of the thermal power construction project risk assessment is directly related to success or failure of the project. Along with our country electric power industry structure adjustment, the thermal power construction project is faced with new management environment, coupled with the thermal power construction project itself has the characteristics of the thermal power construction project in China the myriad risks facing problem is increasingly outstanding. To a reasonable accurate thermal power project construction risk evaluation, extremely complex thermal power project construction help to reduce the construction cost of thermal power engineering project risk.In this article, through analysis of thermal power project construction in our country the status quo, the current main risk are summarized, and the scholars at home and abroad for reference, a lot of research achievements on construction project risk management, and by sorting out the relevant theories of thermal power construction project risk, based on that of thermal power engineering project construction characteristics and the risk faced by a relatively comprehensive analysis, and the risk of the concrete has carried on the detailed division. After finish the above work, according to the selecting principle of index, build corresponding risk evaluation index system, using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determine the weight of each risk index value, USES the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis of thermal power project construction has carried on the risk analysis and evaluation, according to the research methods and steps of analysis can obtain high reliability and accuracy of risk assessment results. The risk evaluation system applied to thermal power project in the construction process of risk analysis and evaluation, in order to solve the problem of actual project risk, and thus the prevention of the thermal power construction project risk effectively. This paper in the last chapter is about thermal power project construction risk evaluation for the case study, a thermal power plant construction risk analysis is using the method of fuzzy hierarchy analysis for risk assessment analysis, practical application of risk assessment results to the practical problems, to solve practical problems.
