| Academy is the place for ancient Confucian scholars to gather, give lectures, collect books, improve skills and recreate, which is also an indispensability part to spread our country traditional culture. With popularity of cultural accomplishment, Zhejiang has been occupying a very special position in the development of Chinese academy. Basing on Chinese traditional culture and geographical environment in Zhejiang, the landscape environment of Zhejiang traditional academy inherits art of traditional garden and has unique local characteristics and profound cultural connotation.The aim of this paper is to systematical evaluate landscape environment of Zhejiang traditional academy by objectively analyzing the landscape environment of Zhejiang traditional academy from the whole to the part, from the macro to the micro. According to the sum-up of references and field research, this paper was concluded in four aspects below:(1) Through researching references about historical development and cultural background of Zhejiang academy, the major development characteristics of academies in different historical periods were that the academy environment combining the functions of teaching, storing books, ceremony and recreation were formed in Song dynasty, then it pursued the qualities of austerity and nature in Ming and Qing dynasty.(2) Focusing on the environmental characteristics of Zhejiang traditional academies, they could be divided into mountain academy, city academy and village academy. By selecting typical academies for historical analysis and field research, it could be showed that the mountain academy has a quite environment by utilizing the nature surrounding condition; While the scholarly atmosphere is the major feature of the city academy, which is mainly made by artificial landscape; The nature scenes outside and the plants inside of village academy makes it an elegant unsophisticated educational place.(3) By monitoring climate comfort degree and environment quality of the landscape in existing three types of typical academies in Zhejiang and valuing the environmental improvement of traditional academy, it was analyzed that the conditions of mountain, water, plants and even orientations of building could affect the academy environment.(4)Analyzing the landscape environment of traditional academy in Zhejiang by the four aspects: landscape architecture, plant landscape, and artistic conception as well as water and stone, the artistic characteristics of landscape of traditional academy could be concluded that the changes of landscape of traditional academy from the natural scenes to artificial ones could contribute to the fusion of feelings with the natural setting.The building is the functional carrier of academy, while the landscape environment expresses the spirit of academy. The analysis of this paper is allowed to summary that the crosstalk between water and stone, the methodical arrange of the space, and the cultural meaning of the landscape consist in the landscape environment of traditional academy, which could have the influence on the landscape and culture construction of the current college campus. |
