In the monitoring system project of China Shipping Group (Dalian) for passenger ship safety, a broadband wireless network covering the channel between Dalian and Yantai has been established and already worked. The subject is proposed from the deficiency of video monitoring in the safety supervision of medium sized vessels. The design objective of the subject is researching and developing a remote control video monitoring node system applied on medium sized vessels through the broadband wireless network. In the node system, the administrative staff on the land side can achieve the real-time video monitoring of the vessels and adjust the video monitoring picture by controlling the direction and focal length of monitoring cameras.In this paper, based on the integrated analysis of different application about camera motion control a feasible scheme of remote camera motion control combined with the engineering background and the advantages of embedded Linux technology in remote network control is proposed.The remote control system of video monitoring developed in this research adopts the Browser/Server control model based on network. The users log in the system control interface by visiting the IP address on the web browser. While offering the web services and video monitoring services, the server in the system also plays the role of controller for supervising the work of the stepper motor to control the camera motion. As the core part of the system, the server applies embedded processor running the Linux system that well supports network services.In the system design, the hardware include the developing platform Tiny6410 that adopts Samsung S3C6410 with ARM 11 architecture as the core processor and the camera motion control parts consisting of 28BYJ-48 stepper motor and ULN2003 stepper motor driver board; the software include the transplant of Linux system, the transplant of Boa server that supports Web services and MJPG-streamer that offering video stream based on web services under the embedded Linux platform, the make of web page of system, the design of stepper motor driver and control program, and CGI processing program.In this thesis, the ideas of design scheme, hardware composition and software programming are discussed and explained in details. The test results show that while operating normally and meet the functional requirements, the system has good real-time performance at the remote control. |
