Primary education is the basis education of the contruy, which are the earliest years of children’s education. A well-conditioned primary campus environments play an important role in the development of psychology and behaviors of students and help them to form a propoer values of life. There are more attention being paid to the construction of primary school along with the rapid development of education undertakings in China. Indeed, plans landscape, as the an significant component of the campus environment, no matter its desgin methods or planting desgin skills, all that are worth to do further research. In this case, this paper through literature review, compared analysis and questionnier to investigate priciples of plants landscape design, the status of landscape and the ladscape modification on Changsha’ primary school. The main studies are as follows:1.The limited green areas, low green rate, plants with single variety, unconspicuous seasional variation and weak science educational function of plants are common problems in the landscaping of Changsha’ primary school.2.The arrangements of plants should to meet the students’ curiosity, the desire of learn the fun of learning. It should contains color, form, fragrance and quality four fields.3. The design of primary campus should based on the local culture and combined human sprits of the school, leading to school cultural connotation outstanding. The well-desgined campus exert a subtle influece to students and increase their aesthetic apperication.4.The desgin of primary school landscaping should adhere to security, ecology, enjoyment-oriented, function-oriented and scientific-oriented, combined with taste of juveniles to create a health campus atmosphere.5. Taken the re-condunction of landscaping of Changsha Xilong Primary School as an example, it based on the campus culture and people-oriented to careated a diversity plants enviroment. It divided plants according to their functions and forms into characteristic of areas. All in all, the desgin of landscaping in primary school should comply with development and progress of education, it must to focus on pupils according to local conditions for highlighting the cultural connotaions of campus. The desgin should increase the science educational function of plants and adhere to function-oriented, to build a scientific and reasonable landscaping system of primary campus in order to maximize the ecological function social function of plans landscape, Promote pupils moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, labor-round development.
