Quality information system for WeiChai engine production line is developed by the programming language of C # and based on Manufacturing Execution System in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 environment. The quality information system’s software architecture is based on a database and OPC technology after the research of WeiChai engine production line and the demand for product quality of engine manufacturing industry. The signal interaction between MES and PLC is finished by the technology of OPC. A few principles are demonstrated on the basis of extensive research of MES technology, such as the completion of information’s transmission, the collection of key data and the monitoring of the equipments’ conditions. The thesis mainly research on these aspects, such as monitor the production line, collect quality data, finish the functions of workstations and upload the data. There are four main function modules, such as the module of monitoring system of assembly line, the cylinder’s workstation, the workstation module of assembly confirmation and the module of data uploading. These researches could not only optimize the manufacturing enterprises’management modes but also strengthen the management and the control of procession. Finally achieve the purpose of Lean Manufacturing.The system has been applied on WeiChai engine production line. Each module is running stable and completes the required functions. The result shows that the quality information system for WeiChai engine production line has achieved the desired goal. The system could not only guarantee quality but also improve the efficiency of production. It has brought business values to the enterprise.
