This paper clarifies the requirements of smart grid construction for leakage circuit breaker, determines that designing a leakage circuit breaker with GPRS conmmunicate function and a monitoring software. Paper firstly introduces the overall framework and structure of intelligent leakage circuit breaker system, next focuses on the hardware and software design principles and design methods of each module. Finally, tested and analyzed the test results of the leakage circuit breaker, GPRS module and monitoring software.Intelligent leakage circuit breaker system is divided into three parts, leakage circuit breaker, GPRS module and monitoring software. Leakage circuit breaker is responsible to collect signal provide protections for line. This section described the sub-sampling method to simplify the process of curve fitting, described the regioselective linkage function of the classification protection, described the method to prevent sensitive circuit breaker recurrently cut the line by adding automatic tracking function to leakage circuit breaker. This paper presents to use GPRS technology in the design of leakage circuit breakers, provide long-range communication capabilities to leakage circuit breaker. Monitor software is MFC framework based development, and use to monitor the working consition of leakage circuit breaker. Monitor software used serial control to achieve wired communication, and used network programming and multi-threaded programming techniques to achieve wireless communication. By add database and storage operational data of leakage circuit breakers, the "dead zone" phenomenon of automatic tracking protection can be removed.This system uses a variety of communications and network technologies that create a higher intelligence level. Strong-based modular design allows the system more scalability, also the network communication function convenient the Maintenance and monitoring of the system. This system meets the requirements at this stage, and can meet the requirements of future smart grid construction proposed for leakage breaker.
