The stiffening rib composite wall is composed of light block with good thermal performance and hidden frame. Lightweight block can take part in the bearing of the wall. In the masonry structure, the reinforced concrete rib beams with a certain distance of each other in a certain distance are used as longitudinal Stiffening ribs. The longitudinal reinforcing rib and frame column, frame beam poured together, and then constrain the thermal performance of good internal block. So that the composite structure of masonry shear wall is formed by the common work of the component parts. Many of the engineering practice showed that in addition to the structural characteristics of the wall itself, openings is the main cause of affecting wall seismic performance. Especially, the hole on the wall without hole reinforcement measures can cause larger weakened on the bearing capacity, ductility, lateral stiffness and other seismic performance. Therefore, this paper mainly study on stiffening rib composite wall in 3 cases, including no opening, open the window and open the door hole. Contrast walls seismic performance between openings and no opening wall. At the same time, study on wall lateral stiffness with other opening conditions by the way of numerical simulation, and puts forward the reinforcing measures of the lateral stiffness of the opening holes edge. Details are as follows:(1) To 3 1/2 scaled models of stiffened composite wall under low reversed cyclic loading test, analyzed the wall text phenomenas, failure modes and the strain of steel bar measuring point of the 3 kinds condition walls. Results show that: all of the wall are mainly shear slip damage type; Wall frame column mainly undertakes the overall bending moment; The casing outside the beam connecting two main frame column, so that the overall structure is formed on stress; stiffening rib beam main constraint block, limit the extension of crack and improve the shear performance of wall.(2) The seismic performance of 3 kinds of working conditions, such as the bearing capacity, energy dissipation, ductility, stiffness degradation, etc, are compared and analyzed. The results showed that: the open window of the stiffening rib composite wall can weakened most in the ultimate bear ing capacity, energy dissipation capacity and lateral stiffness of the seismic performance; open door hole wall which has been setted rib column in hole edge is weakened less than window wall in the seismic performance, the hole edge of rib have a certain effect on the weakening of the hole.(3) Using ABAQUS finite element analys is software to establish numerical mode of stiffening rib composite wall and to their nonlinear finite element analysis. The finite element analysis is compared with the actual test results to verify the feasibility of the finite element simulation of the structure of the wall. Then, the numerical model is established with other openings, Comparison and analysis of the lateral stiffness of the wall under the condition of different openings, and then put forward the concrete reinforcement measures of the hole edge rib column. Therefore, it can provide some theoretical basis for the practical application of engineering.
